Meet the maker
Behind each piece is a life shaped by place, material, and time. The work of our atelier did not begin as a business concept. It began on the shore in Crete, with sea-washed wood and a child’s instinct to make.

A Life Shaped by Place
What began as instinct in childhood gradually deepened into craft, and then into vocation. The place remained the same. The work grew out of it.
From Mochlos to the Atelier
Based in Mochlos, our work is inseparable from its landscape: olive groves, salt air, stone, and the ancient quality of the light.
Our Story
A lifelong relationship with wood, shaped by curiosity, daily practice, and a deep attachment to a particular place.

Early Beginnings
It began on the shore of Mochlos, using sea-washed wood, dried reed, and whatever the land and the sea offered. There was already a sensitivity to balance, form, and how material behaves under the hand.

A Direction in Wood
Over time, the path became clear: to make objects that reflect both the nature of the material and the place they belong to. Not to force form, but to discover it.

What We Do
Our work focuses on bespoke pieces for homes, villas, and hospitality spaces — always made to order, always open to adjustment in dimension, material, and finish.
From Studies to Craft
After studies shaped by design thinking and structural understanding, Yiannis chose daily work in carpentry. The relationship with wood moved from instinct into discipline, and from discipline into fluency.

Material, Origin, and Responsibility
Most of the wood is sourced locally whenever possible, with olive wood at the centre of the practice. Reclaimed timber also plays an essential role, carrying forward the life of older structures and vessels into new objects. Most of the wood is sourced locally whenever possible, with olive wood at the centre of the practice.
